Father Ted

Father Ted

Last night I finished off the Father Ted boxset I got for Christmas. It has taken me a very long time to watch it because I’ve been pretty busy but I’ve managed to get through all three series in two weeks. If you don’t know about Father Ted, then I command you to either buy the boxset or watch the countless repeats they show on More4. It’s one of the best sitcoms ever created, combining satirical humour and daft silliness without going overboard on either. It is tragic that Dermot Morgan couldn’t live to reap the rewards of his excellent performance as Ted (he died 24 hours after filming of the final episode was complete) and it makes the last episode seem especially poignant. Watch it as soon as you can.

Yes, totally agree. A classic sitcom. You should also be able to watch some of the episodes on YouTube at the official 4oD channel.
