Yes, the BNP are a terrible political party. Their policies, which contain so many traces of racism and homophobia amongst other things, are downright incomprehensible and their leader, Nick Griffin, is a total buffoon. I get this. But surely by blocking him the right to have his say we’re corrupting the whole basis of democracy? As much as you may hate them, the BNP are a legitimate organisation by current UK law and therefore, despite what demo participants like those protesting at the BBC tomorrow may think, have the right to have a platform. And besides, surely Griffin himself will be caught out tomorrow night as his policies get torn apart by other panellists and the audience?
Oh wait, it’s Question Time. The one show that has an audience sent straight from the Moron Factory in Moronsville.
