Struggling families everywhere should find the nearest sofa and hide behind it. Jeremy Kyle is on the lookout for you. From Digital Spy:
Jeremy Kyle is reportedly set to host a new ITV programme in a deal worth £1 million. The chatshow host will go into people’s homes to offer advice on how they can improve their lives, according to the Sunday Mirror. An ITV spokesman confirmed that discussions are underway, adding: “We’re always looking at ways of developing our talent.” Earlier this year, a judge described Kyle’s current ITV chatshow as cruel and exploitative.
Hold on a sec…Jeremy Kyle is now worth a million quid? I suppose that’s a pretty good incentive for young wannabee television presenters. Get a chatshow, berate your guests constantly, float between Side A and Side B, and have the eyes of a demon. Hey presto! This new program that is being lined really is beginning to sound like a cross between shows like Supernanny and How Clean Is Your House, except with Jeremy Kyle. What the hell is he going to do? Get a job or sit on the jobseeker’s bench, situated in the family’s hallway?
